My Story

I am a rabbi, a board certified chaplain, and a proud mother of four in partnership with my amazing husband. My goal in this blog is to explore and share some of my passions and interests through writing – my relationship with God, psychology, nature, and music. The blog’s path, like my writing and my life, continues to unfold.

My professional work has included hospice chaplaincy, organizational development, community outreach, and adult and youth education. I am certified through the Association of Professional Chaplains, currently working as a manager of a Spiritual Care department at a large urban hospital. I am blessed to have journeyed with so many wonderful people and their loved ones as they face death – which teaches me a lot about life.

I love spending time with my children, singing, walking out in nature, reading, going to museums, and writing. I also love the color purple and dark chocolate. I am the co-founder and Music Director of Bir’nana: the a cappella group of Congregation Or Zarua, and serve on the board of Plaza Jewish Community Chapel.
